CCIR 405-1 preemphasis is not useful and brings even "a colouring" to the noise. It is inserted only to ensure a compatibility with the ATV video signals. The de-emphasis is integrated into the satellite demodulator.

receiving:

One sees on these diagrams that the number of specific component to the data transmission is very limited.
